For sale is a fully restored farmhouse on a panoramic plot near Lake Borostyán, at the gateway to the Őrség Mountains, in the immediate vicinity of the Austro-Hungarian border!
The house was built at the beginning of the 20th century and completely renovated between 2015 and 2021 using high-quality materials and with the collaboration of sophisticated craftsmen, woodcarvers, and ceramic artists.

The roof received new tiles and a substructure, and the attic was fitted with new floorboards. The attic is accessible, and 25 cm of cellulose insulation was installed between the original and the constructed ceiling.
Laminate flooring was laid in the rooms, while the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom were retiled.
Through the triangular facade, a porch supported by pillars leads into a hallway from which all the rooms of the house lead. Opposite the front door is the spacious kitchen, equipped with a kitchenette built in 2021, a built-in electric stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator.
At the west end of the hallway, you enter a larger room. This is where the jewel of the house is located: an oven designed by a ceramic artist and decorated with old Hungarian motifs, which serves not only as a heater but also for preparing baked goods.
In a separate utility room, the house's central heating system is connected to the water-fired furnace, as well as a 300-liter hot water tank. In sunny weather, domestic water is generated by a solar collector, while in winter it is generated by the wood-burning stove.
In the hallway, facing east, there are two additional bedrooms and the bathroom. Thanks to the 50 cm thick brick walls, the insulated ceiling and floor, the insulated windows, and the functioning solar collector, the house has very low energy requirements. A natural gas line is located on the property, as is electricity.
In addition to the house, there is also a barn, typical of the Őrség-Göcsej landscape. The property measures 1354 m², is fenced, and includes an additional 7015 m². The picturesque property includes an orchard with local varieties and a well.
